Emergency Management
The mission of emergency management is to develop, organize, coordinate and lead the campus toward effective education and preparedness for, and efficient response to, emergencies and disasters with the primary focus on saving lives, reducing human suffering and the minimizing of property loss and and ensure continuity of academic services.
In the event of a campus emergency, it is vital that 51²è¹Ý students, faculty and staff know what to do. Common sense, opportunity, and personal experience all play a part in responding to emergencies. But whether the threat is fire, a weather emergency or an active shooter, preparation for an evacuation, shelter, or lockdown will be applicable in most emergency situations.
